I am a science/business/public-health hybrid, with a PhD in Microbiology, an Executive MBA degree, and a Master of Public Health degree. My first love is writing, and I have been writing steadily since first grade.
l have written a doctoral dissertation, two masters theses, two published books, scores of published scientific papers, and over one-hundred published articles on topics in Science, Management, and Leadership.
I am blessed with many friends, great health, a keen sense of humor, many and varied interests, a good mind, a beautiful wife named Mimi, two bright children—Chip, a Business Analyst for FedEx, and Lanna, a resident physician at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

My interests include reading, writing, volunteering, and spending time with my wonderful family. I retired after many years as a faculty member and academic administrator in Medical Laboratory Sciences and Biology.
