Expert Copywriting and Marketing Consulting in Medical Technology
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What can I expect from working with you?
A: You can expect to be working with a professional, courteous, expert copywriter whose only goal is to provide you with content that is tailored to meet your needs.
Q: What kinds of results can I expect?
A: You can expect professional work and professional results, delivered on time, to your satisfaction – or I will make it right!
Q: What is your process?
A: My process is to explore your processes in depth before providing you with a prospectus, so that I can be absolutely clear on all the steps in your sales process and what I will need to provide to you to meet your copywriting needs. Also, I will rely on my own business and marketing background to offer suggestions on how to improve your processes.
Q: Do you do the work yourself, or outsource?
A: I do all my own copywriting – I never outsource my copywriting services.
Q: Can you do the design, too?
A: I am not a graphic designer. But I work well with graphic designers because I have a keen eye for design – even though I am not formally trained in this area.
Q: Do you charge more for rush jobs?
A: No. I simply will not accept a job if I know I cannot finish it on your schedule.
Q: I have a tight deadline. Can you start on my copywriting project right away?
A: Yes! Let’s schedule a telephone conversation, so that I may learn about your needs.
Q: What are your rates?
A: My rates are competitive for the industry and depend on the specifics of the work that you need done. Once I know what you need, I can provide you with a quotation for the work to be performed.
Q: What kind of turnaround time can I expect?
A: That will depend on the specifics of the work that is needed. Because I am an experienced writer, my turnaround times are reasonably fast, without compromising quality.
Q: What if I want to make revisions?
A: Minor revisions are expected. My quoted fees take into account the likelihood that minor revisions will be needed. However, changing the scope of a project “mid-stream” will require an additional fee. All this is spelled out in my prospectus, which I will send to you for approval before I begin the work.
Q: I’m in New York, and you’re in Texas. Can we still work together?
A: Certainly! All our correspondence will be done electronically and by phone.
Q: What do your fees include?
A: My fees pay for the time it takes me to complete the work we agree on. This will include my research to prepare myself to write the copy that is needed at the level of specificity that is needed, plus the time needed for me to interview members of your marketing staff, manufacturing staff, and sales staff, plus some of your key customers. I also will work closely with your graphic designer. Then, of course, I also must charge for my time to write copy that meets your needs.
Q: What is the best way to reach you?
A: You may reach me by filling out the contact form that you can find on any page of my website, or by telephoning me (214) 699-9591, or by email: lynn@lynnmlittle.com. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
Q: How do I hire you? Do I have to sign a contract? Do you ask for money up front?
A: I will provide you with a contract that covers the services we agree upon. The first half of the total payment is due up front, and the last half of the payment is due when the work is finished to your satisfaction.
Q: How are you going to understand enough about my field to write about it?
A: I have taught and worked in the Biological Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Pharmaceuticals for my entire career. I read every day to keep abreast of ongoing developments within Medical Technology. My greatest strength lies in simplifying complex scientific information for the audience at hand. I can do that for your customers!
Q: What sets you apart from other copywriters?
A: My extensive educational background, both in science and in business. My ability to simplify complex topics and express them in their simplest terms. My extensive copywriting training through the American Writers and Artists, Inc. (AWAI). And my attention to detail and relentless insistence on being the best.
